The Credit Union Foundation of BC disburses educational awards to credit union members as well as grants to BC colleges and universities. They in turn provide bursaries to their students. See details about Awards & Bursaries below.

Credit Union Foundation of BC – Education Award

The Credit Union Foundation of British Columbia is the province-wide philanthropic organization of the credit union system. This Foundation was founded and is funded by British Columbia credit union members.

Purpose

The Foundation’s primary purpose is to provide education awards to British Columbia-resident students enrolled in post-secondary programs and attending acredited colleges and universities within the province.The prime criteria is demonstrated financial need.

Submission Deadlines

The deadline is the date the application must be received at the Foundation's address. Late submissions will not be considered.

For programs that start in the Fall, applications are accepted starting September 1 until October 15 deadline. Programs starting in the Winter, applications are accepted starting January 1 until February 15 deadline. Programs starting in the Spring/Summer, applications are accepted starting May 1 until June 15 deadline.

Credit Union Foundation of BC – Bursaries

Each year, the Credit Union Foundation of BC also provides grants to public colleges and universities throughout British Columbia for disbursement as bursaries. Students need to check their school’s calendar for descriptions of these awards or consult with their awards office regarding eligibility.
