Salmon Arm Savings and Credit Union, like other Canadian credit unions, is a locally owned and directed, financial institution which is controlled by its members. The Board of Directors is responsible for setting the overall direction and culture of Salmon Arm Savings and Credit Union. It accomplishes this by ensuring sound governance and risk management; strategic planning and monitoring of operations. The Board participates in continuous education, and dedicates time to local, Provincial and National issues.
Salmon Arm Savings and Credit Union's Board of Directors consists of nine directors, elected for three year terms. The election period is in April of each year, and election results are announced at the Annual General Meeting held in the Spring.
