Loss of a Loved One and Dealing with Estates

After a death in the family, there are many financial matters to consider. The staff at Salmon Arms Savings and Credit Union are here to assist you during this difficult time.

Some key financial matters to consider:

  • Account Information and Account Access. Member service representatives are here to make the process as comfortable and efficient as possible.
  • If the account in question is a joint account, the signor must provide a copy of the death certificate and a copy of the will for account changes to be made. Account changes will be assessed on an individual member basis.
  • If you are the Executor of the Will, you can contact the branch in person or via email to start account proceedings.
  • Personal Information Changes (name, address, beneficiary)
  • Make an appointment to visit with your branch Member Service Representative.
  • Financial Planning
  • Your situation has changed, if you already deal with one of our Investment Specialists make an appointment and get an update on your portfolio today.
  • If your situation has changed and you would like to consult with a Financial Planning Specialist, make an appointment with one of our trained professionals to guide you through the financial planning process today. Appointments are not necessary, but are encouraged so as to make your experience more comfortable during this difficult time.
