It All Adds Up with SASCU

Since 1997, Salmon Arm Savings and Credit Union has given back over $30.2 million in rebates and bonus interest to its members. 2009 is no exception, $2.8 million was returned to SASCU member-owners. The rebates and bonus interest rates amount to 10% on standard month end service charges, 10% on all deposit interest paid, and 10% on all loan, line of credit and mortgage interest paid. For a member who held a $150,000 mortgage with the Credit Union in 2009 along with $25,000 in RRSPs or investments and had a chequing account, this resulted in a rebate of approximately $1,000. The more business you do with the Credit Union, the more it adds up. We are proud to share in this success with our members.

2009 also saw our membership reach 20,233 member-owners and 95 local groups received sponsorship totalling $163,882. Support from our members allows SASCU to give back to the community.
