What will be included in the renovation project?

All three floors of the Main branch will see some "transformation" during the renovations.

  • Additional offices will be reconfigured out of larger ones
  • More efficient use of storage and "dead" space and waiting areas
  • Space will be made for new Insurance Services department

Why are you renovating again?

It's simple - We've Run Out of Room for staff and additional member services.

When was the last time the buiding was renovated?

The main branch was built in 1981 when there were fewer employees and no member Commercial / Wealth Management or Insurance services.

The interior was reconfigured in 2000 to accommodate an increasing number of staff to service the Commercial Centre and Wealth Management divisions.

The exterior of the building and parking area underwent maintenance improvements in 2007.

In 2007, all building tenants moved from the main branch to accommodate SASCU's growth.

The main branch now accommodates 95 staff members, 10 departments and services an ever growning number of members.

When should we expect to have our "new" branch?

Our Renovation Team and its contractors are currently hard at work - around the clock, transformations are already being made. We anticipate that by Fall 2008 we should all be happy to welcome you all to our newly designed space.

How much will this cost?

Due to SASCU's continuous success, the Board of Directors and Management team have anticipated and prepared for this Renovation for the past number of years. Renovation costs are amortized over the life of the building.

Will the costs affect our Patronage Rebate for 2008?

Absolutely not...member Patronage Rebates are based on how well the credit union does over the year.

Did you know that SASCU is one of the leaders when it comes to GIVING BACK TO ITS MEMBERS. The Board of Directors is committed to the value of giving back.

Can I expect the same level of service?

Yes indeed, this is our promise to you. We pride ourselves on the quality of our member service and if at any time you can make a suggestion on how to improve, fill out a comment card or let one of our member service representatives know.

Where is everyone working from in the interim?

To enable our Renovation Team and contractors to quickly progress with this project, some staff have moved to a temporary office space nearby. If you are unsure where someonce is currently hanging their hat, ask one of the member service represenatives for a staff directory listing.
