Salmon Arm Savings and Credit Union is committed to helping parents teach their children good money skills. Our youth accounts and services offer members from 1 to 18 years of age savings tools to help them set goals so they can pursue their dreams.

Our kudos accounts are designed for young adults 18 to 24. Check out the details on all accounts below.

Youth Account Fat Cat® Program
When you start young, learning how to manage money is fun. Our Fat Cat® program helps teach young people, up to 12 years, the value of savings.

Youth Account HEADSTART® Program
Most teens (13 to 18 years) start to earn money by doing extra chores, delivering papers or working part-time. So the HEADSTART® youth program offers savings and chequing account options with a wide range of transactions free of charge.

If you're 19 or older, but still continuing with full-time post-secondary education, you can continue to use your youth account until you complete school. Contact a Member Service Representative for details.
