Interac® e-Transfer Fraud Awareness

All Interac® e-Transfer users are advised to update their e-Transfers to 'Autodeposit'.

With Autodeposit, funds are moved directly between bank accounts from the sender to the recipient and prevent a third party from intercepting the transfer in email accounts that have been compromised/hacked and redirecting the funds.

Login to your SASCU account, choose 'Transfers', and then 'Send Interac® e-Transfer'.  'Autodeposit' is in the options menu row.  For the SASCU mobile app, tap the Interac® e-Transfer icon. When you login, click the 'Settings' link, then 'Autodeposit' and follow the instructions. It's that simple! 

Also, please remember that your security question and answer act as a password. They must not be guessable to protect the transfer and to prevent criminals from bypassing this security step. You can update/change existing security questions and answers by choosing 'Edit Recipients' (or 'Manage Recipients' in the mobile app).

Getting paid just got easier! By registering your email address with Interac, all transfers sent to that address will automatically be deposited into your preferred account.

Send Money

Interac e-Transfer® allows you to send and receive money quickly and securely using a computer or a mobile phone. This means splitting that pizza, paying the babysitter, or repaying for that movie just got more painless.

Request Money

Use the request money feature to quickly let friends, family or anyone else know what they owe you and have the funds automatically deposited into your account.

Sending an e-Transfer® Expand/Collapse

  1. Log in to online banking.
  2. Select Transfers from the menu bar and then Send Interac e-Transfer
  3. Set up your profile as indicated. (Note: you only need to provide your email address or mobile phone number.)
  4. Set up your recipient's profile. (Include email address, mobile phone number, name and security question.)

Receiving an e-Transfer® Expand/Collapse

  1. Within 30 minutes, the recipient will be notified.
  2. Simply follow the prompts to sign onto the receiving personal online account.
  3. Successfully answer your security question (unless you are registered for Autodeposit), for the funds to be deposited into your account.

Pending e-Transfers® Expand/Collapse

You can click the Pending Interac e-Transfer button to check the status of your Interac e-Transfer. If it's been awhile and your recipient has not deposited their Interac e-Transfer, you can send them a reminder from here.

Cancelling e-Transfers® Expand/Collapse

You can cancel your Interac e-Transfer up until the time your recipient deposits your Interac e-Transfer into their account. Just click on the Cancel Interac e-Transfer button. You are not able to cancel Interac e-Transfers for the recipients registered for Autodeposit.
