December 22,2025|SASCU Donates $21,000 to Local Food Banks and Education Initiatives
SALMON ARM (December 19, 2025) —This holiday season, SASCU has committed $21,000 to local food banks and First Nations community and education initiatives.
A total of $15,000 was distributed among eight food banks and community support organizations, including the Salmon Arm Salvation Army Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank, Eagle Valley Community Support Society, Sorrento Food Bank, North Shuswap Christmas Hampers, North Shuswap Food Bank, Feed Enderby & District Food Bank, and the Shuswap Area Family Emergency (SAFE) Society.
In addition, SASCU provided $6,000 in support of First Nations community and education initiatives, with funding shared among Neskonlith Indian Band, Splatsin, Skwlax te Secwepemculecw, and Adams Lake Indian Band.
“These contributions support organizations responding to real needs in our communities,” said Dave Witt, Chair of the Community Engagement Committee of the SASCU Board. “They’re directed to trusted partners making a meaningful difference during the holiday season.”
