General
- These terms and conditions provide the details and requirements for eligible new members upon opening their first personal youth chequing or savings account (“Junior Savings” or “Junior Chequing”) and who wish to receive SASCU’s promotional offer, as defined below.
To qualify for the offer
- Must be between the ages of 0 to 17, at the time of membership and account opening.
- A new personal membership must be opened between December 4th, 2024, and January 31st, 2025. To become a member, you must be a B.C. resident, be able to provide a valid Social Insurance Number (if available) and government issued I.D., and be ready to deposit $5 at an accounting opening for a membership share. - An eligible youth account must be opened at the same time or prior to January 31st, 2025, of the personal membership opening to qualify.
- New youth members between the ages of 0-6 must apply with a parent/guardian, however, only the primary member (child) will receive the payout.
- Parents/guardians of new youth members ages 0-6 that are existing SASCU members are eligible for the reward.
- Parents/guardians of new youth members ages 0-6, that are not current SASCU members must be able to provide:
- Proof of address
- Parent/guardian’s own SIN
- Parent/guardian’s own photo ID
- Please note that youth currently listed as beneficiaries on ITF accounts are NOT eligible for this offer.
Payout
- Once account is opened and shares are funded, $50 reward can be deposited directly into the new member’s account from the GL 2910 Admin.
- The payout is limited to one per member, for the duration of the offer.
- The payout is limited to only the primary member on the account.
- The payout for any new eligible member will be received upon maximum two business days of the account opening.
Restrictions
- We may withdraw or amend the offer at any point, without notice.
- We reserve the right to limit, suspend, disqualify, or revoke this promotional offer for any person we determine to be abusing the fairness or integrity of the promotional offer.
Definitions
- Primary Member means the person we designate as the primary holder of a joint Personal Banking Account. Minors may be listed at the primary member on the account, however, while “youth” or “junior” member have the same obligations, rights, and legal capacity as an adult member, junior members cannot vote or serve as director or on a committee.
- Eligible Youth Account means any account designated for youth 17 and under, including:
- Plan 24 ‘Junior’ Savings Account
- ‘Junior’ Chequing Account
