Self-Serve Password Reset allows you to reset your password - giving you more control of your account.

Forgot your password and locked yourself out? No more waiting until the next day to reset your password. After launch, you'll be able to reset your password yourself, anytime and anywhere! 

I forgot my password. How do I use Password Reset?

Simply click "Forgot Password?" on the login screen, in Online Banking or the app, and follow the prompts. 

I'm getting an error message. Why can't I use Password Reset?

If 'Forgot Password?", isn't working for you it's likely a SIN related issue.

  1. Make sure the SIN that's being typed is the last 3-digits of the account owner's SIN.
  2. If you're sure you're typing the correct SIN, contact us via phone or in branch. We will need to check that we have your SIN on file or that you haven't opted out from sharing. 
    1. If not, we can easily add your SIN for you to use this feature.
    2. If you don't want your SIN on file, you won't be able to use the Password Reset feature (it's how we verify you are you).

Note: Call us before trying your SIN multiple times. It should work on the first try!


​2-Step Verification is an additional and convenient security measure SASCU's put in place to protect our members' privacy and banking information.

Once you've set up 2-Step Verification, you'll receive a verification code to your cell phone or email address to enter into your device and gain access to your account. You're likely familiar with this verification system if you have an account on social media (e.g., Facebook) or an email address (e.g., Gmail). 

What are the benefits to 2-Step Verification?

  1. 2-Step Verification protects you from cyber threats such as malware and phishing attacks because it provides an additional layer of security.
  2. You use it to reset your password (PAC).
  3. It replaces security questions. Meaning, you won't have to remember security question answers.

You'll be prompted with 2-Step Verification when:

  1. We first launch it ~ coming soon. 
  2. Following launch, whenever an attempt to access your account is assessed as needing increased authentication (e.g., signing in from a new device, signing in from a new location, etc.).

How do I set it up?

You'll be prompted to set up this feature when you first log into your account after it's launched. Follow the steps (adding your email and/or text) when the prompt screen comes up.

Can I use my landline number for 2-Step Verification?

No. Make sure the number you add is a cell phone number. Landlines will not work. If you do not have a cellphone, enter your email address. 

Does 2-Step Verification replace the use of security questions and answers for login?

Yes. Generated verification codes only last for 10 minutes, meaning they are more secure than security questions. Plus, you won’t have to worry about remembering your answers! 

Can I have my cell number and email set up for 2-Step Verification?

Yes. When you first enroll, you can only sign up with one. However, once you've logged in you can add the other. 

Add and/or update your email or cell number in your 'Profile and Preferences' settings in Online Banking or in 'Settings' in the SASCU app. 

Note: you'll need to know your Security Question answer(s) to set up 2-Step Verification. When we launch, you'll be able to defer set up until December 8th.

  • If you forget your password and/or lock your account, you'll be able to reset your password and create a new one all on your own. Anytime, anywhere. 

2-Step Verification

  • You use it as verification when resetting your password (PAC).
  • It replaces security questions. No more remembering security question answers.

  • You'll have a 'Forgot Password?' option.
  • You'll have the option to 'Show' or 'Hide' your password.


​How can I check if my SASCU app is up to date?

You can check the current downloaded version of your SASCU app by going to the "About" information icon (second page). If your app is up to date, it will read V15.2.45. With this version of the app, you'll have access to all the new benefits being introduced when we launch.
