Direct Banking Alerts

Direct Banking Alerts are an easy way for you to monitor your account for different conditions including unauthorized activities. When you sign up, you choose the type of alerts you wish to receive and whether you receive them by text (SMS), email or both.

How to Sign Up for Direct Banking Alerts

  1. Login to Online Banking.
  2. Click on 'Messages and Alerts' in the left menu.
  3. Choose 'Manage Alerts'.
  4. Choose your alerts by clicking on the Alert name and then ‘Add’.
  5. Click on the ‘Get Started’ box at the bottom right of the Alerts list.
  6. To accept the Alerts Agreement, click ‘I accept’.
  7. Add your email address and/or mobile phone number and carrier.
  8. You will receive a one-time passcode to confirm your device. Enter the passcode in the box.
  9. You can personalize your account names now or later.

  • New bill payee added
  • Personal Access Code (PAC) changed
  • Online Banking Account Locked Out – Incorrect PAC
  • Online Banking Account Locked Out – Incorrect Response to Security Question
  • Interac Online Payment Authorized
  • Interac e-Transfer Recipient Added

Q1. Do I have to sign up for Direct Banking Alerts? What if I sign up and don’t like the feature?

A.    No, this is an optional feature.  You can choose to sign up, the types of alerts you wish to receive, and add, change or delete alerts any time in online banking.

Q2. Is there a service charge to receive alerts?

A. No, Direct Banking Alerts are included in SASCU’s online banking service.  However, if you choose text message alerts, your wireless carrier may charge for receiving text messages. Please check with your carrier regarding your phone service plan.
